As Sudan was reconnecting with the world Google wanted to help the world to better understand Sudan, by sharing the nation’s rich but overlooked history through an immersive web experience.
Additionally, we developed an AR experience using Google's experimental WebXR technology – allowing website visitors to explore the pyramids in AR directly through their mobile web browser.

4TB of data from the 3D scanned environment were compressed down to a 3MB web / AR experience.
